The Fourth Of July

Independence Day.  Princess informed me that America is now 233 years old.

We had a relaxing day, all leading up to the evening.  We have a favorite park, where we go early in the evening, set up "camp", then play until fireworks.  This year, my second-to-youngest sister came along, and it was a lot of fun.

There were live bands, plenty of open space, and very few bugs - it was perfect!

Isn't SuperBoy just handsome?  He'll be eight next month!

Then the music began!

Cute Auntie decided to teach the kids how to swing-dance:

Inbetween songs, we played MadGab and CatchPhrase
(isn't my sister adorable?!)

Then Auntie showed the kids how do do a handstand ...
and walk on your hands:

They wanted to try too!

After lots of chips, snacks and treats, it got dark, and it was time for fireworks.  Everyone snuggled in the blankets, except for AngelBaby, who cuddled up in the big red wagon.

Somewhere in the middle of all the kabooms, AngelBaby fell asleep:

A wonderful ending to a great day!

It was all the cute swing dancing that made AngelBaby tired. Looks like you had a great 4th!
